Wordsowers is a group of Christian writers who meet together to encourage one another in their writing endeavors.
The group is based in Omaha, NE. However, since the meetings are on Zoom, we have folks attending from other places as well. If you're a Christian writer (no matter what genre you write for), you're invited to attend our monthly meetings which are held on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
The next meeting is on Thursday, April 28th at 7:00 p.m. Here's how to find us on Facebook and to connect to the Zoom meeting:
On Facebook, search "Wordsowers Christian Writers Group Meeting." Click the join button and Jeanie Jacobson will accept your request. (Do this prior to the meeting by at least three hours so Jeanie will have time to let you into the group.) There will be a Zoom invitation on the group meeting Facebook page. Click on the link and it will take you to the meeting. A password (a series of numbers) will be listed. Be sure and enter the password.
Please note: If this is your first Zoom meeting, you will need to download the Zoom app.
The subject for our next meeting will be, "What's Your Hook?" You will be invited to read the opening lines of your book, devotion, article, etc. We'll encourage each other and make suggestions as to how we can improve those opening lines to "hook" our readers.
